Dome laminoplasty is a classic surgical method for the treatment of multi-segment cervical disc herniation and cervical spondylotic myelopathy. It has achieved significant postoperative symptom improvement and favorable short- and long-term outcomes, thus being widely applied. By directly lifting the lamina and expanding the sagittal diameter of the spinal canal, this procedure relieves the compression of the spinal cord and nerves from both the anterior and posterior aspects of the spinal canal, thereby achieving the goal of indirect decompression.

Compared with traditional laminoplasty decompression, most of the operations of this technique are performed outside the spinal canal, which reduces the risk of spinal cord injury.

The Laminoplasty Fixation System developed by ZATH features excellent biocompatibility, flexibility, and strength, serving as a novel and practical plate for cervical posterior single-door laminoplasty. The system consists of a Laminoplasty Plate and orthopedic screws. The plates are fixed on the lateral masses and laminae with screws, which provides higher strength than the traditional silk suture suspension, significantly reducing the incidence of postoperative “door re-closure”. Moreover, the rigid fixation ensures the stability of the osteotomy on the hinge side.
